Bellydance for Mindfulness was born out of my deep desire to help others connect more deeply with their own bodies in a loving, body positive, self-witnessing way.  The classes I teach primarily focus on the fundamental techniques of bellydance but also combine moments of meditation based on mindfulness principles.  By combining bellydance with a mindfulness practice this movement form becomes about your personal body connection and mind body communication.   You will learn how to check in with your body and build new mental pathways as your cells and muscles come to life through the isolations of bellydance.   This practice is empowering, uplifiting and very healing.  I am so grateful to be able to share this with students who inspire me and that remind me that this form of movement is for all bodies and truly transforms from the inside out.

I have been studying bellydance since 2010 and discovered this form of movement while looking for a way to regain mobility after breaking both of my feet.  Not only did this get me moving again, but I learned confidence and acceptance of my body exactly as it is.  I continue to study with my movement teachers Sedona Soulfire, Henna, Rachel Brice and Brant Rogers.  This beautiful artform not only has helped me heal physically, but has also helped me through depression, PTSD and binge eating disorder.  I have learned unconditional love for myself and for the world around me and it has empowered me to shed limitations.  It is my strong desire to share bellydance as a form of healing, physical mediation and as an act of self love that is available to everyone exactly where they are at in life.
