Mindful Family Practice: Move, Share, Create 
& Be Still Together this Summer
Jun 23 @ 4:00 pm – 5:15 pm

 

Come and share playful exploration and elements of mindfulness practice with your family; movement, laughter, stillness, affirmation.  Home practice assignment for the whole family with encourage long-term shared practice.  This is for parents and relatives with children 8 and up. There will be four sessions on Sunday afternoons, one every two weeks from June 23rd through August 18th; 6/23, 7/7, 7/21, 8/4; 4-5:15pm.  

You must apply for and commit to the full 6-session series.  Tuition for the series is $80 for each adult and $40 for each child.  Here is a link to the Family Mindful Practice (FMP) course:  FMP Application

We’ll have some home practice activities for you to share with family between classes in order to enhance learning for the long-term.

Gentle Mindful Yoga, Monday Mornings – Summer

A safe and friendly introduction to yoga, appropriate for those wanting to try an accessible form of yoga or for those who have had injuries in the past. We will practice movements that teach yoga alignment in ways that are available to most everyone. We will practice relaxation as well as develop strength and flexibility. Easy and modified yoga poses will be explored. Your physician should release you for general physical activity.

Gentle Mindful Yoga – Monday Evenings – Summer

The gentle forms of poses.  Much of the class reclined with gentle movement.  If you need to work in a chair that will be fine.   introduction to yoga breathing and the practices of mindfulness.

We introduce a physically more lively practice including Inversions, backbends, rigorous flow.  Mindfulness during practice emphasized.

Mindful Restorative & Therapeutic Beginning Yoga, Wednesday Evenings – Summer
Jun 26 @ 7:00 pm – 8:15 pm

The general form of postures, simple flows of generous movement, attention to breath and the practices attentive, quiet moments of stillness, mindful presence during physical movement stillness is emphasized.  This class will emphacize a restorative, therapeutic, and adaptive orientation so that folks might explore ways to care for themselves more directly and effectively.  This is of course no substitute for medical care or therapy.  The intention is to enhance a kind discipline for caring for ourselves in the way we move an respond to our bodies.  Caring for ourselves from the inside out.  FYI – This class is in my upstairs classroom up a long stairway so not appropriate if you are having mobility challenges.
