d to be in the open air in a natural setting as expressed in the recent Mindfulness-Based Yoga in Nature
post. Dozens of folks have completed the recent planning survey about how\, when\, and where we might share practice in nature.
The park department guidelines a sk that we maintain appropriate social distance and\, as appropriate\, wea r masks. I will ask that we situate at least 8 feet apart as we practice. The guidelines ask that we gather no more than ten of us in our session. As we begin our session I will ask that we check in to make sure we are all OK. with distance and masking\, etc. so we can all be comfortable as w e practice.
\nPlease note that this is not an official Yoga Hillsbor o ‘class’ as much as an informal session of shared practice. Also\, follo wing park guidelines there will be no tuition. You are welcome to contrib ute something if you wish. No expectations here and know that this is jus t a kindness to us all. Even though this is free please book your place t o make sure I know who will be arriving.

This is the retreat day for the folks in this winter 8-Week training.
\nThis retreat is an opportunity to pract ice deeply in the ways we have practiced in class and at home over the fir st weeks of this course. People often have very moving and at times chall enging experience both during the day. It is simply an opportunity to be still\, with ourselves\, and others in the simplest of ways\; in silence.< /p>\n
Prepare by bringing all of the props you use in your classroom pra ctice. We will be practicing all of the modes of practice we have learned over these six weeks\; mindful movement/yoga\, sitting practice\, body sc an meditation\, walking meditation\, and other modes in silence except for my voice periodically guiding us in our transitions during the day.
\nThere will be time at the beginning of the retreat for describing detai ls of the day and answering any questions. Then we will begin silence for the day as we avoid talking\, making eye contact\, reading\, checking por table devices\, and otherwise. Place everything that may be a distraction near your belongings at the entrance.
\nThere will be a 45-minute m eal/rest break at 12pm when you can nourish\, rest\, stroll downtown or ot herwise.
